MLC recognized for nonprofit communications work

We are thrilled to announce that MLC & Co. has been recognized for its work in supporting the nonprofit sector in PR Daily’s 2021 Nonprofit Communications Awards.

MLC has received an honourable mention in the Advocacy and Awareness Category for our work with Some Other Solutions (SOS), a crisis prevention society based in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

PR Daily’s Nonprofit Communications Awards recognize those who “helped build awareness of or raise funds for important causes, initiatives, organizations and programs.”

Our team initially began working with SOS on a media relations project to announce expanded counselling services that would begin in January 2020. Through the initial conversations, it was clear there was an opportunity to elevate the mental health and wellness conversation even further.

Over the past almost two years, MLC has supported SOS through a rebranding exercise, a website refresh, a social media overhaul and a thought leadership strategy.

We are so pleased to accept the recognition for the work on this project and honoured to be included with others in the category, including the winner, Casey House out of Toronto for their incredible campaign working to tackle the stigma around HIV/AIDS.
